Mandala Campsite is a small back-to-nature campsite in Haute Provence, in the foothills of the Southern Alps at an altitude of 1,040 m. Nina & Yvan welcome you for a family holiday, a weekend among friends or as a couple.

You can choose between a wooden eco-chalet, a traditional Mongolian yurt or spacious pitches for your tent, campervan or caravan.

The campsite is located at the very heart of Europe’s largest UNESCO Geoparc, and is the point of departure for many outdoor activities.

Our site is focused on calm and tranquility and therefore car-free.

The Mandala welcomes you this year from the 5th of may to 30 September!

We offer 20 different-sized pitches on grass or sand, 8 of which have electrical hook-ups. 4 of the 20 pitches are accessible for vans, caravans or campervans. N.B.: Please contact us if your vehicle is longer than 5 metres!

Our 5 traditional yurts from Mongolia guarantee a complete change of scenery. Comfortably equipped with beds, table and stools and a solar lamp they are close to our all wooden sanitaries.

Yoga sessions and massages in the Mandala yurt; a guided hike or a hike with our donkeys Kishan, Shanti and Orti on the little-known paths of our protected valley; or the excitement of climbing a via ferrata will provide you with a real change of scene!

Hello everyone, soon the Mandala will re-open its doors on the 5th of May to welcome you in our beautiful setting! This year we will take particular care of the use of water, electricity…by installing more gutters for water recuperators and by installing solar panels on the sanitary facilities to reduce electricity consumption. New for those who want to come as a large family or a small group of friends: the Grand Gîte of 90 m² for up to 6 people is available for rent from March. Contact us for more information and photos! Also, our activities are increasingly oriented towards well-being: Yoga, Massages, Reflexology, Hydrolats and Bléone Flower Oils and osteopathy sessions on request.

Nina and Yvan

 

 

 

Nina Théaudin, quadrilingual (German, French, English and Spanish). Born in Germany where she spends her childhood, she grows up in South America.

Having met Yvan in Nepal, they decide to create together a welcome spot in the mountains in the South of France having finished her training “Heilpraktiker”(naturopath) in Germany.
In 2002 she follows a training course creator of touristic structure in rural areas at CFPPA de Carmejane in order to polish up and concretize the idea of a tourist welcome project.

She is in charge of your well being at the Mandala and managing the campsite.

Yvan Théaudin, graduated mountain guide since 1999, is approved by Géoparc de Haute Provence but works on several territories (Corsica, Pyrenees, Alps, Nepal, India, Mongolia and others).

He fluently speaks French, English and German. He organises all types of journeys, and is particularly specialised in « well being » stays and above all Hiking-Yoga which combines hiking and daily yoga excercises.
Frequent traveler since always, Yvan has become a « Journey craftsman » and works on request by gladly adapting the programm according to the candidate person’s or the group’s wishes at first.

He will let you enjoy each stay like a real journey full of discoveries of the world around you. It will always be an occasion to open to yourselves and to the others.

A little bit
of history…

We are settled since 2002 in the valley of Prads Haute-Bléone which seemed as an evidence to us. This place exactly corresponds to the place we we were looking for to develop our tourist activity.

From the very beginning, we wished to link nature and comfort with a warm human atmosphere.

Our Campsite Mandala is born thus naturally in the month of July 2008 after big team works in a happy atmosphere… And that is important!

Nature is offered to us, but comfort is the fruit of a long work. This is the way we are always trying to improve and to welcome you in best conditions since the opening of our campsite.

Nature, peace and mountain lovers, we have created this space for you!

You will feel the power of environment in a friendly atmosphere which respects the intimacy of each and favors encounters.

These life values on which we are very keen can only show by respect of environment and human’s health. Ecology, a priority, holds a central place in our development choices. We are actually part of the VIA NATURA and engaged on the way developping and transmitting the values of a tourism and holidays in harmony with the environnement and other humans.
